Committees

Each member contributes in the operation of the Westside Indoor Playground by serving on one of the committees listed below.

Activities: Those serving on this committee assist with parties and Member Night's in a variety of ways: from planning, dispersing invitations (sometimes via email), obtaining supplies, setting up or cleaning up. Members can expect to help in some way with at least one event per quarter. This committee is overseen by the Activities Chair.

Bulletin Board: Those serving on this committee assist by posting season themes, articles, community events, recipes and other communication on two large bulletin boards within the playground. This committee is overseen by the Bulletin Board Chair.

Membership Committee: Those serving on this committee help to create name tags and folders for new members, post flyers around town, and possibly help with open houses. This committee is overseen by the Membership Chair.

Scheduling  committee: Those serving on this committee help to ensure other members have signed up for quarterly open/close and substitute shifts. Those serving on this committee make calls to fellow members if the playground will be closed, due to a  funeral. This committee is overseen by the Scheduling Chair.

Toy Cleaning: Those serving on the toy clean committee help on toy clean days by filling spray bottles with a non-toxic solution, sanitizing toys, ensure all toys have been cleaned and placed into the storage room in an orderly fashion, supervising members children in an adjacent room during the actual toy clean and take home to wash the cleaning supplies. This committee is overseen by the Toy Clean Chair.

Toy Maintenance: Those on this committee assemble, repair, replace and investigate toys for safety. Members also ensure their is an adequate supply of sanitizer, batteries and other needed supplies on hand. This committee is overseen by the Toy Maintenance Chair.
